Blessed To Be a Blessing ~ #GivingTuesday

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
~ 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NIV ~

I have a PASSION for parents raising children with special needs, disabilities, chronic illnesses, and rare disorders or diseases. I pray that you have noticed. Sometimes I have wondered over the past 14 years.

You see, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 was like an epiphany for me all those years ago. God was comforting me in all the difficulties I endured in this parenthood journey -- the spiritual questioning and crises, the financial trials, the judgment from others, the wrestling with schools, the medical advocating with doctors -- all so I could comfort, encourage, and support other parents just like me. I suddenly had a great deal of purpose in addition to caring for my own complex kids. God didn't intend for me to be a sponge or a holy hoarder. He intended me to serve and live a poured out life for my good and His glory. And He intends the same of YOU.

That is why we are inviting you in to join us where God is at work. We want you to help spread the word about what the Lord is up to through Snappin' Ministries, how the work touches your life, and invite other people to support the work.

This is why we would like to invite you to become a Snappin' Ambassador in honor of #GivingTuesday, celebrated this year on November 29th. What exactly IS #GivingTuesday?
"#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving."

Did you know that 30% of all non-profits' budgets are raised this time of year? That's why we NEED parents and caregivers just like us to raise their voices to gain year-long support.

Things like TLC baskets, retreats, gift cards, events, and awareness marketing all need funds to make them happen.

So here are the simple instructions on how you can join us:
STEP 1:Create an account at Razoo.com
STEP 2:Create a fundraiser with a dollar amount goal. When prompted “What are you raising money for?” choose “A Certified Charity.” The non-profit organization you will choose is Snappin’ Ministries Inc.  Create your fundraiser for #GivingTuesday with the title of your choice.
 STEP 3:Upload the photo…

STEP 4: In the “Story” section share something like…
I am a Snappin' Ministries Ambassador for #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. This year the event is celebrated on November 29, 2016. The funds we raise today will help power "Special Care for Special Caregivers" all throughout 2017. Snappin' Ministries greatly relies on this year-end giving for important support of parents raising kids with chronic illnesses, rare diseases, disabilities, and special needs. Their work includes small group parent mentoring, TLC baskets and gift cards for parents enduring trauma with their children or experiencing a hospitalization, promoting church inclusion, and providing fun family outings to help end isolation.  Please join me for this IMPORTANT work!
It always helps if you add your story and explain why YOU are a supporter/ambassador for Snappin’s work in the “Story” section too!

STEP 5: Share like crazy on social media! Prizes awarded for various levels of funds raised.

We are ALL called into ownership of this community of caregivers. I can't do it alone! Please comfort others as you have been comforted by simply sharing your story, and inviting them to give "special care for special caregivers" by donating and volunteering. Your personal story makes all the difference.

Oh, the prizes that have been donated to reward the good and faithful servants who create the greatest impact this #GivingTuesday are incredible...
Have questions? Feel free to contact me at barb@snappin.org for help getting started.

PRAY: Father, You have blessed us, so we can be a blessing to others. No one can see the great need of parent caregivers like we can. Holy Spirit, kindle the flame You have lit in our hearts, and mobilize us to impact the struggling parents around us. Make us an appealing invitation to draw others into Your work.
